Why should everyone in an organization go through the same courses? Agility and innovation mean something different in UX Design than it does in Finance and Accounting. For different people across an organization, the principles are the same, but the practices are different.

Shiftup offers a crowdsourced collection of curated content and events for continuous learners in different roles. We support the habit of continuous learning among all workers, and we have something to do for (almost) everyone!

Each of our programs has five levels. You pick which program is most interesting for you, and then you start at the first level. A level consists of many objectives to complete by reading articles, watching videos, listening to podcasts, participating in meetups, doing exercises, etc.

Thoughtful participants will quickly figure out that the same activities can earn points toward multiple programs. For example, with just one video or podcast, you could earn points in the Architecture & Design program and the Development & Engineering program! It is our goal that most activities contribute to multiple programs simultaneously.

Here is a crucial difference with standard courses and certificates: We have no fixed set of content, and there is no standard set of requirements. You choose from many events and content items to make progress toward the objectives. New activities and events are added continuously, and you can even suggest your own. This is true empowerment of the continuous learner!

On top of that, you don’t have to set aside specific days for a course. In our programs, you learn at your own pace. Even when you only have half an hour available, you can just watch a video, read an article, and score points for a quick win.

Last but not least, we offer a Slack community where you can discuss all activities. This allows you to interact with others from a broader background than what you might find with a traditional workshop.
